HPMC is a highly pure cotton cellulose as raw material, under alkaline conditions by special etherification and preparation.White or whitish powder.HPMC decreases with the decrease of methoxide content, increase of gel point, decrease of water solubility and decrease of surface activity.
HPMC has thickening ability, salt resistance, low ash powder, pH stability, water retention, dimensional stability, excellent film forming, and a wide range of enzyme resistance, dispersion and adhesion.
Appearance: HPMC is white or similar to white fiber or granular powder; odorless.
Usage: retaining agent,binder for plaster,plaster putty,binding filler

2.Properties: almost insoluble in ethanol, ether and acetone; quickly dispersed in 80-90 water; aqueous solution is very stable in room temperature; has good wetting/dispersing/adheisve/thickening/emlusifying/water preserving/film-forming properties; can prevent the infilration of grease; film formed has excellent flexibility and trransparency; has good compatibility with other emulsifier; easy salting-out. its solution is stable with PH 212.

Solubility: Soluble in water and some solvents, such as ethanol/water, propanol/water, etc. in appropriate proportions. The aqueous solution is surface active. High transparency and stable performance. The gel temperature varies with different specifications. The solubility varies with viscosity. The lower the viscosity, the greater the solubility. The performance of HPMC in different specifications is different. The dissolution of HPMC in water is not affected by pH.
