Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) CAS NO. 9004-65-3
CAS NO. 9004-65-3
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose other names Hypromellose; Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose; HPMC; E464 is a non-ionic cellulose ether in the shape of white powder, odorless and tasteless, with many fields of application.
HPMC is made by propylene oxide, methyl chloride with alkali-cellulose after a chemical process called Etherification under rigidly controlled conditions. The resultant
nonionic polymer is purified, dried and ground to a fine white powder, this water-insoluble cellulose is turned into water-soluble nonionic polymer, HPMC is a good film-former
and varies somewhat in physical and chemical properties. HPMC is quite hydrophilic and readily soluble in cold water.

We are manufacturing and exporting HPMC for over 10 years old in china , our product have exported many countries in the international market and win a good reputation from our
buyers . Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) is used in various different industries such as architecture, pottery, paint, printing and ink printing, plastic, PVC industry and
so on. HPMC used as adhesive for tiles, marbles, plastic ornaments and plaster tone. Since the water retention property of HPMC, it leads the pulp not to dry so quickly, avoid
cracking while drying, and enhance the intensity of the coating.
HPMC is widely used as thickener, adhesive, water preserving agent, film-forming agent in construction, building materials, dispersion coating, wallpaper paste, polymerization
aids, leathers, printing ink and paper making etc.
