Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose HPMC is a non-ionic, water soluble cellulose ether. It is widely used as thickener, protective colloid, stabilizer, suspending aids and water-retention agents in many industrial applications. It enhances water-retention, besides providing well-balanced properties including open time, slip resistance, adhesion, good impact resistance and shear strength.

3.Viscosity specification
The standard method for the viscosity measurement of aqueous solutions prescribes the use of the Brookfield RVT or DNJ-1, at 20ºC .
